Wonky::
Happy Mothers' Day to all the mommies in the world! :) To my Mommy, thank you, thank you, and thank you for putting up with me all this time. It is indeed a teeny tiny gesture to make you breakfast in bed but that's probably the most that we can do (since we're extremely incapable of being sweet and expressive) to make you feel how grateful we are that you are our mother. Gaya nga ng sabi sa tribute ng ABS CBN para sa mga nanay sa buong mundo, walang halagang kapantay ang bawat ina. *Love you, Mommy :)!*
Anyhow, it's been an uneventful week. Did the usual go-to-school-to-study stuff. Ha. Took the third Math 54 exam on indeterminate forms, improper integrals, and conics. I really find conics quite interesting. Ang sayang mag graph! Waha. *Nerd alert! Nerd alert!* When I took review classes for college entrance exams, I hated hyperbolas, parabolas, ellipses, and circles. Sobrang bilis kasing ituro puro shortcut ang tinuturo di mo na aappreciate yung lesson. HA! Ang jologs ko talaga. :) Went to Debra's 18th birthday celebration last Friday night. I first met Ben at McDo and we went to Robinson's Metroeast. We were supposed to watch Can this be Love? but they're not showing it there. Grrrr... Dalawang linggo na siyang palabas di ko pa rin napapanood. Hay. Sana extended. :) At around 730 in the evening, we drove to Debra's place. Madami ng mga tao pag dating namin. :p Was glad to see Monique, Enya, Tania, Bong, and the rest of the ochouno crowd. It was a reunion of sorts for most of us. Gawd. I miss my high school classmates. :) Hmm.. The party was very simple. We had dinner, and afterwards, a short program commenced. There was a sort of 18 wishes part as well as the 18 roses. Then, Debra blew the candles on her cake and her family wished her a happy birthday. :) For the rest of the night, my table-mates and I drank punch (with Vodka) and discussed sorority planning, Idol finalists, Paris and Nicole, transferring to Diliman, and other stuff. First time kong uminom... Haha. Feeling ko tinamaan ako kahit kalahating baso lang yung nainom ko. Grabe. :) Matagal siguro bago toh maulit. :p My parents picked me up at around 11 pm. When I got home, was sooooo sleepy that I forgot to pray. Slept for most of the day yesterday. Batugan!!! :D Saw Kingdom of Heaven last Wednesday with Ming, Jolina, Tibs, and Kuya Lem. It was Gladiator-ish. Malamang kasi parehong director (Ridley Scott) :p. It wasn't as moving as Gladiator but it was much better than Troy. And Orlando Bloom was hot. Ha. :) Mas magaling siya kay Brad Pitt pero parang nakakabitin yung mga big speeches niya. Anti-climatic. The way they cut some parts was frustrating. Nakakabitin rin. Walang transition. All in all, I think the film was fairly ok. Didn't disappoint me as much as Troy. :) What I liked most about it was that it tackled issues on faith. I'm amazed at how these people choose to lift their fate and their lives to the Lord. Parating through the will of God. Also, I liked the fact that Orlando Bloom didn't choose to fight the Muslims for the structure, for the walls of Jerusalem. He fought to defend the people. I think that most of us are blinded by material and temporary pleasures and objects. We have to realize that the things that matter the most are the permanent relationships we make with other people. Fame and wealth may go down the drain but our friends, our family, our community will be there... Ha. Have to finish graphing my parametric equations. :) Ang nerd!
