Firsts::
The first week of school is up and I am not liking my teachers. I don't know if that's a bad sign but I would like to believe that things can and should get better.
1. Chem 40 - Ma'm Norie Ann Nolasco Pangalan pa lang parang terror na. Ha. They say she gives weird essay type exams. She talks to fast and she scares me. Heehee. 2. Chem 40.1 - Ma'm Reyna Lim She also talks too fast. I don't know if she gives 1's. I hope she does. No frustrating and tedious practical exams for this lab class. And my lab partner's Joshua - that's a very good thing. 3. Geog 1 - Ma'm Marqueza Reyes Erk. Seems like a demanding class. Matrabaho. Hay. I shouldn't have chosen this GE. Argh. 4. Geol 11 - Ma'm Dimalandra? Heehee. I thought her name was different. It's a very silly story and I don't want to mention it here where everyone can read it. Ha. She seems strict but I like her. Not boring. :) 5. MBB 110 Lab - Sir Virryan Banzon Ah.. Sir Vir's our CWTS instructor. Meticulous and strict at times. He is also nice. My labmates are June and Kathleen. We're also known as the bakla group. HAHA. 6. MBB 110 Lec - Ma'm Cynthia Hedreyda Hmm... I felt like our lectures weren't as formal as I expected them to be. But I think Ma'm Hedreyda's nice. Will enjoy her class. 7. Physics 71.1 - Ma'm Athena Paz Ma'm Paz was most of our blockmates' lab teacher last sem. She's very fashionable. Ha. :) I hope she lets us choose our own lab group. Heehee. Quizzes will be given regularly. Darn it. 8. Pilates - Sir Jonathan Cagas He required his classes to attend an aerobics marathon yesterday night at The Fort. Because I am such a nerd, I attended the said event and got lost going to and from the venue. Almost cried. Good thing we got home safely. :) I hope I get to lose weight. Heehee. 9. Stat 101 - Ma'm Clarissa Serina We didn't have a formal stat class during high school so hopefully I won't 'get lost' during class. Our instructor's giving a 0.25 incentive for perfect attendance. YEY. :) Got to see Michael again after a summer and two sems. Ha. He's one of my classmates. Weeh. Ben's friend, Sherry is also my classmate. :) *** I still have CWTS classes every Wednesdays. Argh. Our workshops will be held two to three months from now and I seemed to have forgotten about it during the sembreak. More stress to come. In addition to my classes, I am going to join the org's carolfest. Ha. Will be singing Payapang Daigdig as well as Eye of the Tiger. With all these work, I hope that I'll still be able to lose the weight that I gained over the short vacation. Heehee. *** Early warning signs of burnout taken from Henry Neils 13 Signs of Burnout and How to Help You Avoid it (and Vany's blog :p): 1. Chronic fatigue - exhaustion, tiredness, a sense of being physically run down 2. Anger at those making demands 3. Self-criticism for putting up with the demands 4. Cynicism, negativity, and irritability 5. A sense of being besieged 6. Exploding easily at seemingly inconsequential things 7. Frequent headaches and gastrointestinal disturbances 8. Weight loss or gain 9. Sleeplessness and depression 10. Shortness of breath 11. Suspiciousness 12. Feelings of helplessness 13. Increased degree of risk taking I am currently experiencing the ones in boldface. Pray for me friends. :)
